For cribs manufactured before June 28, 2011,when new retroactive safety regulations were issued for full-size cribs, unless the seller has written proof that the crib meets the standard above, retailers should destroy any full-size crib (with or without drop sides) and should not resell it.
- For cribs manufactured after June 28, 2011, assemble and make sure that the cribs have all component parts, including all screws and hardware. You can find out more information on this and other resale topics by visiting our Resellers Guide at https://www.cpsc.gov/resale .)

Preparing Your Items
Clothing
-
Be sure items are CLEAN! No stains or odors!
-
Inspect for stains, holes, odors, snags, missing buttons, broken zippers, or pilled fabric from wear. These items will be rejected if brought.
-
If you wish to bring clothing on hangers (it isn’t necessary) please use appropriate sized hangers. Hang items so that the hanger looks like a ? when looking at the front of the item.
-
If bringing clothing that isn’t on hangers, please have them folded neatly, with set pieces together, and placed in a box or stackable container labeled with your name. Bags are accepted but not preferred since they do not stack well.
Accessories
-
Items with more than one piece can be pinned or taped together, or placed in zip bags.
Toys
-
Secure pieces with zip bags or cling wrap.
-
These MUST be clean! Most markings can be removed with a magic eraser.
-
Battery operated items must have working batteries, otherwise a battery fee will be charged.
Shoes
-
We are very picky here! Shoes that are worn, scuffed, or dirty will be REJECTED.
-
Shoes can be cleaned with water and detergent and/or a magic eraser. (Old toothbrushes are great for scrubbing off the dirt.)
-
Clean shoelaces
Bedding
-
Neatly folded and placed in a bag or container
Furniture and Other Items
-
Magic erasers are great for cleaning many of these items.
-
Be sure to inspect for safety.
Puzzles
-
Confirm that all pieces are accounted for
-
Secure wooden puzzles with cling wrap
